Elizabeth: "Almost this many"

When you ask Ellie how old she is, she no longer says, "two." Now, she says, "Almost this many," as she shoots three fingers straight up toward heaven. She's a doll. Anyway, to prepare for her birthday, I photographed her this past week in Fayetteville at a variety of locations. Most of the shoot was done at Bell Gables Chapel.

Where do I sign?!

Ellie and I have this little joke: Whenever we like something a lot, we're supposed to say, "Where do I sign?!" It's a play off how over-zealous I get when I like something and have to sign a contract for it, like a new car. Anyway, this is something everybody will love. Sarah and James wanted to use the engagement photos I shot to make a guest book for her wedding. Just following the shoot, I designed the book (seen below). Obviously, the white space is for her guests to write their encouraging words and wishes for the happy couple on their wedding day. A great idea, if I do say so myself!

Congrats Mark and Leslie!

Meredith and I had the honor of photographing Mark and Leslie's wedding in Oklahoma recently. The rain held off during a beautiful reception. Enjoy a few of the pics below.

Starbucks lighting...

I don't care which Starbucks you're at, it always seems to have good portrait lighting. As a matter of fact, the Starbucks I stopped at in Chicago with Ellie had such good lighting that I had to stop and take portraits of her... getting pickpocketed in the process. That didn't happen here, though. This past weekend, I took Ellie to Starbucks on our way to see grandpa. She had a vanilla milk and an book; I had an iced chai. Fun was had by us both.

Congratulations Matt and Julie Brown!

I was thrilled when an old friend from high school contacted me to say she was getting married. When she decided on where she was getting married, I was even more excited. Meredith and I photographed Matt and Julie's wedding at the Mildred B. Cooper Glass Chapel in Bella Vista, Arkansas. It is such a great location and her pictures turned out amazing!

And there was this cute little bird who didn't care how close I got. I love shots like this at weddings that just pop up out of nowhere.

Kylee and Chris

When Kylee and I were talking about their engagement shoot, she said that she and Chris wanted something "Fayetteville-y" which I thought was a great idea. Her reasoning was that her wedding pictures are going to all be posed and pretty, and that they wanted something more "them." We went to Baum Stadium (Chris pitches for the Razorbacks), then we went downtown and to campus. It was such a fun shoot!

Alaska Proposal; The Time I Almost Blew It.

Hey everybody! Did you ever know something 100% in your heart, but you almost screw it up?  So goes the story of my proposal to Tyler. ...
