Ellie's Dollhouse

Hey everybody!
I hope you had a super happy Christmas with the fam and friends! Here's the 2nd and final installment in our fun little Christmas. A few months back, Dad told me that he was going to build Ellie a dollhouse (he's quite the carpenter), so I was looking forward to it almost as much as Ellie would have, had she known what was in store. So, Pops came over Christmas morning and set it all up while Mere whipped up some fab-u-lusss steak and egg thingy.
Let me stay on topic... So, Dad did the big reveal (I wanted to yell, "Move That Truck" but I'd have to then spend the next 5 minutes explaining to Ellie that there was no truck and that I was alluding to a TV program). Oh boy, it seems I'm wordy tonight...
Maybe I'll blab less if I use math: Ellie + Dollhouse = Happy kid. She is in love with this thing. I kind of am too. On with the pictures...

The big reveal...

Some shots from the inside...

The master bedroom ;)

Ellie playing away...

Another bedroom...

Notice the picture in the frame, the trim on the doors, etc. Crazy, right?!

Stay tuned for lots of blog posts coming up! There's a lot going on in our world and we're excited to share!
Talk to you soon,
Dale

P.S. Happy NYE! We're going to Jenessa's tonight for a swanky little mini-party. Hopefully she'll let me post pics!

Merry Christmas! 1 of 2

Hey everybody!

Merry Christmas!!!! I am crazy about Christmas! I love the food, the gift-giving, the family time, and everything else! Oh, wait, I hate the parking at Wal-Mart. But everything else...

I have decided to break the Christmas blog posts into two different ones, one leading up to Christmas, and one for Christmas day. Below are our Christmas portraits (Mere took them while we were in Branson a couple weeks back) when Ellie got to wear her fancy dress (we had a family fancy dinner, practiced our manners, and had a blast).

The other images are from the other night when I let Ellie open a couple Christmas presents. Actually earlier in the day Mere asked, "Ellie, are you excited to open a present tonight?" She answered, "I'm excited to open a COUPLE presents!" Because it was the day before Margaret Grace (see previous post) was being born, I knew what one the presents HAD to be... her new/old polaroid camera.

We've had such a fun holiday season. Meredith and I hope that you are able to create lots of memories with your family this Christmas!

Talk to you soon!

Fancy, like... Cinderella fancy!

Aren't we cute?!

Ellie got to open presents, so I did too ;) I was SOOOO happy to get this shirt. If I could I'd wear it everyday!

This series is so fun.
Picture#1: I was explaining what polaroid cameras are/were.
Picture#2: Waiting, waiting...
Picture#3: There it is! She saw it begin to appear! After this, she was HOOKED to this camera! It is soooo precious how much she loves it!

A fun little picture she took of Mere and me...

Probably the CUTEST FACE she's ever made in her entire life!!!

Introducing... Margaret Grace Lee!

Hey everybody!

It may be December, but it's still CRAZY here at Benfield Photography!! But it's the best kind of crazy you can imagine! Crazy Christmas deliveries, a double wedding weekend, family time, and a new baby has made the past three days buckets full of fun!

Because of all that, we've got TONS to blog about! So, check the blog everyday.

First up, Monday was a great day for the McClary/Lee family. Meredith became and Aunt for the 2nd time. Rory and Mark had sweet little Margaret Grace at 9 am, and "big sister" Caroline couldn't have been cuter about it. Ellie, Meredith, and I popped in as early as we could so we could take some pictures (Ellie had one of her new Christmas presents to help take pics - more on that later this week).

Enjoy one of God's best Christmas presents.

Our first sight of the pretty baby...

New Engagement Website - Janelle and Aaron

Hey everybody!

I've got another custom website to show you. My brain is about to be mush after a year of coming up with unique designs for all these - ha ha ha. Just kidding.

You probably remember Janelle and Aaron from a little bit back. They are one of our wonderful Tulsa couples (Meredith just shot another Tulsa couple Friday, so stay tuned for some of those images). Anyway, they wrote up their stories and I created this site:

Look, like, love.

Jamey and Mike tie the knot!!

Hey everybody!

Ellie, Mere, and I are off to Silver Dollar City today to enjoy some family time. You see, it's quite rare that we have a weekend off (we actually have two off in December - woohoo!), so we decided to take a fun little trip. We'll be chillin' at the Chateau on the Lake by night, Silver Dollar City by day. I'll try to post some pics later.

In the meantime, check out Jamey and Mike's wedding images. If you're a bride and have gone into the Fayetteville Town Center, you've probably seen Jamey (she's the Director of Sales). Their wedding at Blessings was beautiful! Plus, she was a rockin' bride - so hilarious!! I've said it before and I'll say it again - we love it when wedding professionals choose us - what an honor!!

Also, the event was run by the outstanding J. Bailey Occasions. Every time we photograph a wedding that Jenessa runs, we get to focus on pictures, which makes the entire day so much better! She's a superstar at what she does!!!

So, without further adieu let me present Jamey and Mike (and their two sweet dogs Sadie and Emmy)!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

Jill's Urban Belly shoot!

Hey everybody!

Remember our Halloween costume contest? Jill was the "housewife" that sent me into a laugh attack after I read that some kiddo called her a stay at home mom.

We were lucky enough to photograph Jill for over an hour because her daughter, Ella, was so well-behaved! I wonder if baby Owen will be as sweet!!

Check out the pics we took driving around the urban side of town.

Check ya later!

Okay, this is TOTALLY sweet!!!

Hey everybody!

I got the SWEETEST letter today from Brooke, one of our August brides. She and Dave had such an awesome wedding at the
Botanical Gardens (they even have an album there if you wanna stop by and see it!).

--------------------------------------------

Dale & Mere,
Dave and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you guys so much for everything. We received our album and canvas in the mail yesterday and we could not be happier! Both turned out so great and I can't wait to share them with family and friends over the holidays. I'm so glad we got everything in time for the holidays too because I'm pretty sure that it will be the majority of our gifts for everyone this year. I have friends that were married in August too and still haven't received their photos! I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten so far on all our pictures. In fact, we just got asked to be in Citiscapes and Arkansas Bride next month because of the pictures! How cool is that?
Besides being totally fun, cool people your passion and love for your work shines through in all your pictures and I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for Dave and I. I will continue to send everyone I know to you and can't wait to have you capture other milestones for us.

Love ya guys!
Brooke Steeneck

Isn't she just great?!?! To remind you of who she is, below are some super cool images from her wedding...

Dale

I love this sweet moment during the ceremony...

And this one after it was over...

Then we did some portraits. Here are a couple of my favorites. The rainy sky was amazing for portraits...

Jonathan and Chelsea's engagement website!

Hey everybody!!
Got another one for ya...
Here's something unique about Jonathan and Chelsea's website: They wrote how they met from their own point of views. Reading their different takes on the same situation is so funny, cute, and sweet! You HAVE to go read it!

Hey everybody! Ellie is getting her own blog post. From time to time, I'm going to post some of her images here on the blog. I'm a proud daddy, because Ellie LOVES taking pictures. She's on her 3rd camera now (and don't tell, but she's getting a super sweet one for Christmas - I ordered it today!). Anyway, check out some cool shots she got at Thanksgiving!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

Gotta love that window light, right photographers?!!

She even got a good shot of me - and that's terribly hard to do!

And just in case you don't know who Ellie is, she's my 4 year old daughter:
