Shannon and Andy tie the knot!

Hey everybody! Two of my favorite new Chicagoans were married last week in Fayetteville. Shannon married Andy at the Inn at Carnall Hall on the U of A campus.

They had an awesome aisle runner that showed to be a nice touch for photos...

The wonderfully hilarious and sarcasm-dripping couple...

The flower petal leave...

I love this shot of the happy grandma...

Then it was over the the UARK Ballroom for a rockin' reception...

Another great cake by Rick's...

A creative, cool dance shot...

And of course they had to lift the bride and groom in chairs. Andy loved it!

Hunkr Down got the party started...

And the party danced the night away...

Congratulations Shannon and Andy! I hope you love Chicago as much as I do!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

Honor and Harper's photos

Recently, I had a crazy-fun time photographing Honor and Harper at St. Catherine's Chapel in Fayetteville. The dynamic duo kept me on my toes and were so much fun to photograph. There was never a dull moment in the hour-long session. We chased ducks, we chased each other, smelled flowers, and danced.

Check out the sweet images below!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

P.S. Don't forget about the contest. Check back everyday!

I love this gorgeous shot. What a sweetie!

And she was totally cracking me up!

A Whole New World!

Hey everybody!
We've taken this week to get caught up on lots and lots of shoots. It's been really amazing to be so busy, and we totally have you all to thank for it!

After getting caught up, we finally got to work on our own pictures - and we're excited to share our Disneyworld trip with you all. We had such a blast and Ellie was in Princess Heaven! It was kinda like she was meeting celebrities! We had dinner with Pooh and company, and then the next night with all the princesses.

It was also nice to spend time with my sister, Melissa, who lives in Colorado, and Ellie loved playing with her Melissa's two boys.

Enjoy the pictures!

Andrea and Ben tie the knot!

Hey everybody!
I would like to introduce you to my new Fayetteville best friends: Andrea and Ben!
After my wedding in Hot Springs Saturday morning, I didn't have to drive all the way to Eureka Springs for Andrea and Ben's wedding, Meredith and team had it well covered. But I wanted to be there for Andrea and Ben, whom we've come to know very well over the past year. They are soooo fun, and she's just 100% hilarious! This, of course, makes for some great images.

See!

She was so proud of her shoes!

Here's a great shot Lauren got as Andrea's dad saw her for the first time...

I like this sweet moment Meredith got during the ceremony. A family that prays together...

Another fabulous cake by Rick's Bakery...

And then some great portraits of our new best friends at the Crescent Hotel...

And this one was Andrea's idea - I love the faces they're making...

This is my favorite shot of the night! I want them to get a poster sized canvas of this! This was taken as guests were outside waiting to come in. Andrea and Ben grabbed a private moment...

Finally, their getaway run as guests waved sparklers...

Andrea and Ben, we can't wait to hang out with y'all soon!

Seth and Caralisa tie the knot!

Hey everybody!
Last weekend, Jessica and I braved the trek across Arkansas to photograph Seth and Caralisa's wedding in Hot Springs. They had an early morning wedding at Garvin Woodland Gardens, a gorgeous chapel on gorgeous property.

How good-looking is this couple!

Here's a sexy garter shot while Caralisa was getting ready...

And here's Seth making a couple last minute adjustments. I love the way the lighting worked out in this image...

As Dad walked Caralisa up the aisle, her eyes welled up. It was so sweet!

After the ceremony, everybody cleared out, leaving our sweet couple for some great shots. Here's one of my favorites from the session...

Seth and Caralisa, thank you! You two are so wonderful to work with and I'm excited to keep in touch with you both!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

Jennifer's Trash the Dress...

Hey everybody! It's been a busy weekend! Since Friday, I've driven back and forth across the state, shot a couple weddings, a bridal session, booked another wedding, and celebrated Father's Day with Ellie. Sitting down here now, it seems like weeks have gone by without posting because of all that has happened. I'm glad it's only been since Friday!

In addition, I'm happy to have my friends Lauren and Mike staying with us for a couple days. They're in the process of getting acclimated to Arkansas, where they've decided to move. So, needless to say, it's been extra hard to steal a few moments for myself.

Besides the 2 weddings this weekend, we also had 5 shoots this week. So, I've got plenty for the blog! First up is Jennifer's trash the session. Jennifer and Ryan married last November and she's been waiting for weather like this to head out and get her dress dirty.

We met at their house to start the session. We took their "ugly" chair (that I don't think is at all ugly) out back and got started...

Next we wanted to use one of their cars, and old truck of Ryan's...

And even though Ryan wasn't expecting to join, he was wearing the perfect clothes for the next shot (how sexy is this?!)...

Then we drove up the road to their grandpa's farm for a few more and got this shot (I love the lighting!)...

And it wouldn't be a trash the dress without getting this thing wet, right?!

Jennifer made sure to tell Mere and me how much fun we were and we couldn't help but tell her the same. She and Ryan are such a fun, sexy couple!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

Amy and Michael Tie the Knot!

Hi everybody!
Saturday, Meredith and I hung out with the super fun Amy and Michael capturing their wedding day.

We started over at Luxe's new location on Dickson (where Mr. Tux used to be) for some makeup app:

Normally I don't put posed "formals" up of family and bridesmaids, but I had to put a couple on here to show all you soon-to-be brides how great posed photos are outside. Here's one of her and Katy...

And one of all the guys - they called it the Reservoir Dogs shot...

Then it was time to make it official. I got a kiss shot, too, but how cute is this kiss that followed the first one?!

And then some couple portraits a la Benfield...

After pictures, it was party time. Here's a sweet first dance shot...

As the sun was setting, I threw on the 85 1.2 lens and grabbed this great portrait. Killer lighting, right?!

Here's a fun reception shot just after the Kappa song. I love the tight crop for impact...

Here's my favorite shot. Some friends gave the couple a fireworks show as a gift (what a gift! I want them to be my friends, too!). Everything fell perfectly into place to capture this amazing image...

After the fireworks, birdseed-carrying guests covered the couple as they made their getaway...

And here's one that almost slipped through the cracks. I love this moment between Elissa (super sweet bridesmaid) and Amy (super sweet bride)...

We had a great time getting to know Amy and Michael over the past year. They are such sweet people, and their love for each other is so fun to watch!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

Extreme Makeover: Cat edition!

Hey everybody...it's Meredith! It's the heart of wedding season and Dale and I are up to our knees in bridal portraits! But I thought I'd take a second to share a few non-wedding pics of our cat Murphy's summer metamorphosis.

Murphy's probably the best cat in the world! He's a "personality plus" "never met a stranger" kind of cat. The thing is, he's got this crazy long white hair that ends up on every surface in our house! SO...Dale and I decided to have Murphy shaved for the summer! In the cat world it's called a "lion cut!" They shave everything but his head, his tail, and his paws!

We took a before pic last night so you can see him in all his fluffy white glory!

Now we can unveil the after pic which proved to be a much sleeker look and very avant-garde!
