Dark Clouds...

Today was kind of a sad day. As Wal-Mart laid off hundreds of Home Office employees today, some of our dear friends are without jobs. During Meredith's time at WMHO, we gathered a pretty fun group of friends with whom we've shared many-a-birthdays, superbowls, Christmas parties, etc.

Meredith sent me the email this morning (Tuesday is my College teaching day) that gave me the news, but also her thankfulness for having a job. Which leads me to the heart of this blog post.

She thanks me, but I've got to thank you. Whichever group you belong to (current client, former or future client, cheerleader friend, family, fellow vendor, fellow photographer), we owe so much to you, and we are so thankful.

Specifically, we are thankful that you value our work and that you see the importance of investing in your memories. Also, we are thankful that you tell your newly-engaged friend, or new mother, etc. about us and our style and personality. We are thankful for your referrals if you are a fellow vendor or photographer. We love our client and vendor friends!

We've now booked up 98 percent of this year (look for our "We're all full" email later this week or early next week) and we obviously can't do that without you. Our couples tell us that they heard about us from you. Seriously, thank you.

And to our friends who are looking for new positions, you're in our thoughts and in our prayers!

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
