I could be better.

Hey everybody!
I don't necessarily love reading other people's resolutions. Is that rude? Sorry. And now, I'm expecting you to read mine.
Last year, I made a resolution to blog every day. And I did it!
This year, I'm making a resolution to get to 500 straight days of blogging.
Also, I want to get back to my fighting weight with the wedding coming up in a mere 14 1/2 months. If I lose .068 pounds each day for the next 440 days, I'll reach my goal. See, now that sounds easy! :)
Of course, this goal makes that last one really hard: I want to get super great at cooking! I kinda love it.
I also have some goals that I want to reach: get published in a national magazine. I've gotten lots of local and regional mags to love me, and I did get the PopPhoto mag at the end of the year, but I want it to feature a wedding of mine. I better get on this before they all go out of business.
I also want to put on another workshop for moms. The last one was WAY fun, and I got a lot of positive feedback. I might also like to do one for pro photogs. Say whaaat? Yep!
Let's see, what else... Oh! I'd like to blog a few more personal things instead of all work. It seems like that's what you like reading more about anyway! Ellie's posts always get the most comments.
I'd like to start a wedding planning blog for guys. I can't seem to find one. Guess what! I already took the first step and registered my domain name.
One more resolution, I'd like to be a better friend to my friends. Not that I'm a bad friend or anything, but I don't get to see them a lot because of the crazy life of a wedding photographer.
One more goal, I'd like to go even more above and beyond for my wonderful clients, who deserve awesomeness in their lives.
Lastly, I'd like to double the amount of charity I gave this year. It's super important to me to give as much as possible. Send more your ideas on how I can help out those less fortunate!
Okay, there's a silly little list. It was hard to write because I'm pretty much perfect and amazing at everything. That was a joke. Obviously.

What are your resolutions?
Talk to you soon,
Dale

  1. Awesome! I can hardly wait to see you and Mere's wedding pics on here!

And, hello????? You better put on another workshop for us Mom's! :) Seriously... I would attend all of them. I came away from your last one with so much info!

My only resolution this year is to keep up with my blog more. When I went back to work a couple months ago I let it slide a little more.

Also... to become a better photographer!

  3. I so totally agree with the workshops for the moms and pro's!!!! I will be at any workshop you put on. I had an email from a friend that I met at your last one saying that you mentioned doing another...DETAILS..please!!! Don't keep us waiting...lol. Love your boldness to post your resolutions,(you keep me inspired) I have made many but will not post them. A few I will share is to master my camera, love my family with passion, enjoy life more than I already do and go on another vacation..:0) PS> after your post about watching Julie and Julia I rented it and loved it. The next day I made homemade egg rolls...It was a great movie and I came away with inspiration. Thanks for sharing,
