NYC Engagement Session, day 2: Brooklyn Bridge

Hey everybody!

I hope you've been enjoying all the NYC stuff on here lately. Today is the very last day of NYC posts from this series, and we're going out with a bang. The supermodel couple Shiloh and Jonathan finished up their engagement session at the Brooklyn Bridge and I had to share.

Favorite part of these images: the random people walking by (especially the old dude!).

Talk to you soon,
Dale
P.S. Rain is my friend. :)

Shiloh and Jonathan' NYC engagement session

Hey everybody!

One of my favorite things in the world is when scheduling comes together out of the blue, seamlessly. That's what happened with Shiloh and Jonathan's engagement session. They model-esque couple, who lives in NYC but will be marrying in Fayetteville at the Pratt Place Barn, and I were super excited when we saw the schedule fall magically into place!

Meredith and I met Shiloh and Jonathan at their place in Greenwich Village, possible the CUTEST neighborhood in all of New York City! Streets made of bricks instead of asphalt, flowers shops, bakeries, and charm make up this lovely neighborhood... so we obviously wanted to photograph there.
We also shot at near the meatpacking district, within walking distance, and got some tasty urban shots.

Come back tomorrow to see more from their engagement session at the Brooklyn Bridge. Yaya!!

Talk to you soon,
Dale

Congratulations to J Bailey Occasions and Sincerely Yours!

Hey everybody!

Two of my favorite vendors... nay... people on this planet are getting some mega recognition for their awesomeness.

Jenessa Bailey of J Bailey Occasions (who we have the distinct pleasure of working with for today's wedding) and Amy Hannon of Sincerely Yours have made it into the coveted Little Black Book of Vendors for Style Me Pretty in the new Arkansas section! Isn't that exciting?!?!?!!!

I'm not gonna lie... it's a personal goal of mine to be in "the book" and/or have weddings featured on Style Me Pretty, one of the world's most-read wedding blogs. Congratulations to two wonderful people, two wonderful businesses, and two wonderful talents on the achievement!

Also, I LOOOOOOVE that we have a photo credit on the Style Me Pretty LBB:

Leave Amy and Jenessa some love below!

Indian Wedding Week: Ceremony and Reception Story: the finale!

Hey everybody!

I guess this could be the finale of the week! Meeta and Aatish's wedding and reception was absolutely to die for.
I want to thank Ajit for bringing me to New York - the wedding was such a great experience. Thankfully my mind was a sponge and I absorbed it all. And so did my camera.

Even the horse had fancy shoes! Mere about died when she saw this!
The groom's family led the entire crowd down the city street to the wedding location.
Photographing this groom, on a horse, surrounded by a mob of people, in the middle of New York City was one of the most surreal experiences of my entire career.
The bride also made a dramatic entrance....
The traditional "first look!" His face is priceless!

The cocktail hour included several amazing displays of SUSHI! Be still my heart!

The groom was to find his name on her hand written in the henna.
A fabulous entrance to kick off the reception...
Then family and friends made some poignant speeches.

Then, the REAL first dance. I LOOOOOOVE THIS SHOT!!!

Most people I've seen on a dancefloor. Period.

Dale

Indian Wedding Week: Ceremony and Reception Details

Hey everybody!

So, I was amazed when I saw the Sangeet details Thursday night. But when I saw the reception Saturday, I LITERALLY lost my breath. That's hard to do. I have a ton of images in this post that show all the little details - I shot an entire 8 gig card just on the details. I'm going to try to shut up and let you look at pictures...

Look at that aisle!

Notice the scale here.  Bigger IS better!
Isn't this dance floor INSANE?!?!?!
The reception took place at the Cipriani on Wall Street.  Fancy!!

Another shoutout to Ed Libby for designing a gorgeous event.

I photographed this cake from across the room with the 200mm 1.8 on the Canon 1D mkIV

From top to bottom... breathtaking!
