Art Deco Inspired Wedding Portrait Session of Lydia and Caul

Hey everybody!

I'm almost sad it's over: this is the final Lydia and Caul wedding post. I wanted to end the same way I began: with portraits of this stunning couple. Lydia is timeless, and her wedding was a dream to photograph.

Art Deco Wedding Reception Details and Story of Lydia and Caul

Hey everybody!

Lydia and Caul's wedding was seriously SO fabulous! Mere and I had a blast capturing ALL the super cool art deco details created by Jessica and her team from Finishing Touch Event Design (check her blog for more on this fab wedding!). Below are some of our favorites, starting with the dramatic gold-glittered puffs of babies breath! I know, right?

Maple doughnut midnight snacks??? Yes please! The flowers by Flora were the perfect pop on the dramatic black and white striped table runners.

Each of the food stations were inspired by a certain plane in the museum. Brick House Kitchen did an excellent job creating a stellar menu!

Love this shot from their first dance. Once the sun went down, the planes were lighted. The entire room was glowing!

The Fayetteville Jazz Collective was unbelievable! They had the dance floor filled all night long! Mere and I were SO IMPRESSED with their horns! They were the perfect fit for the Art Deco theme!

Fayetteville Wedding Details and Story of Lydia and Caul

Hey everybody!

Lydia and her wedding designer/coordinator, Jessica from Finishing Touch Event Design, have been planning this wedding and reception for about 18 months, and it shows! Every detail was so meticulous and perfect... from the custom lined envelopes that invited guests to the wedding to the unbelievable getaway car that took them away from the ceremony (and everything in between).

Jessica will be doing a blog on these fab pieces on her blog soon - you'll want to see that!

Oh, our gorgeous bride... and that dress!

Meanwhile, Caul had his own way of enjoying the getting ready process.

As far as first meetings/first looks go... this is a perfect as it gets.  Lydia's eyes say it all.

Lydia had an amazing bridal party. They were silly pretty, and pretty silly.

Lydia has so many priceless expressions.  I felt it was my duty to capture each and every one of them throughout the wedding day.

And then they were off! I shot this image in a way that made the sun burst... a cool little trick of the trade as we zoomed off in our fancy vintage car.

Okay... I know you're excited to see the reception. Tomorrow, the wait is over! In the meantime, head to the Finishing Touch Event Design blog for more!

Lydia's Southern Bridal Portraits Session

Hey everybody!

Lydia is a bit of a jaw-dropper, her wedding was a jaw-dropper, and I'm just in love with all her pictures. This wedding dress is Lela Rose, and it stole my breath when I first saw it at her bridal session (isn't it unique and to-die-for?!).
